To resolve this issue and continue using account numbers in QuickBooks:

Open the QuickBooks Financial software.
Choose Edit > Preferences > Accounting.
Click Company Preferences and clear the "Use account numbers" Check box.
Click OK.
From Point of Sale, perform a Financial Exchange.
In QuickBooks, go to Edit > Preferences > Accounting.
Click Company Preferences and select  Use account numbers check box to reactivate the account number feature.
Click OK.

    You might see Quickbooks error PS033 due to incompatibility of Windows and Quickbooks version or due to company file PSID being incorrect. Error PS033 can be rectified by rebooting the system in the safe mode. It can also be corrected by disabling UAC. Make sure that you have downloaded the latest payroll updates.
